Staff were attentive and the hotel was ideal, it had upscale location in the heart of the city. Location: the venue was near downtown and close to other areas of town, restaurants, coffee shops, river, and the superb farmers market on Saturdays in season.

The well-appointed and large rooms were lovely. the friendly staff made my stay very pleasant. - the Wheelchair Accessible room had luxurious touches and huge windows that worked well for me. - the restaurant offered outstanding food. - the property had a fancy vibe that I would love to experience again.

The room was luxurious and quiet, equipped with a coffee maker, a writing table, and an ironing set. the hotel's location was perfect, right next door to a wonderful local coffee shop and many restaurants on the outskirts of town.

A Pleasant Surprise

I recently planned a surprise night away for my spouse and stumbled upon a true gem in a revived downtown. The Goodwin exceeded all expectations! The boutique hotel had a wonderful little bar/restaurant in the lobby called the Velvet Buffalo. The mixologist behind the bar made every drink a magical mix of top-shelf liquors. We also had the option to explore over half a dozen fantastic restaurants within walking distance. The oversized room with romantic lighting and rustic decor made us feel like we had stepped into another era. The turntable in the room with a collection of vinyl records added a touch of nostalgia. The bathroom with the glass shower and plush terry robes was the perfect finishing touch for our romantic night away. I highly recommend the Goodwin for anyone looking for a surprise getaway filled with charm and romance.

The rooms are stylish and well-appointed, with plenty of space for luggage and comfortable seating areas. The bathrooms are stunning, with black octagon tiles and a showpiece glass shower that includes regular and rain shower heads. The amenities provided, such as shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, and lavender pillow spray, add a luxurious touch to the stay.

The breakfast was complimentary and the scones were amazing. The bar offered reasonable prices for in-room items. The hotel was in a great location, close to lots of restaurants and shops. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

The decor was a bit too unique for my taste. There was no pool on-site which would have been a nice addition.
